SerenaGroups Compliance Program
With the Office of Inspector General (OIG) all out focus on decreasing fraud waste and abuse and increasing resources directed towards prevention and detection a compliance program is essential. Not only does an active compliance program serve to mitigate vulnerabilities, it also demonstrates that the institution does not act with willful disregard to behaviors and practices within the institution, which would be considered non-compliant.
SerenaGroups Compliance program is specific to wound care and hyperbaric medicine. Constantly reviewing the OIG work plan with focuses on these key areas of vulnerability. These may include Medical Necessity as it relates to: Hyperbaric Oxygen, Debridements, and other areas of advanced Wound Care.
Our team partners with your hospital team to provide a Risk Assessment to identify areas of non-compliance and determine if the areas on non-compliance are isolated or is there a systemic problem. If vulnerabilities are identified we will create a detailed action plan to address and mitigate potential liabilities.
A companion analysis of operational procedures and policies is also performed. Where hyperbaric treatments are offered, this analysis extends to chamber operations and safety procedures, and compliance with the various oversight organizations.
