Marcela Dolores Farrer
DPM, MBA, CWS,
is a surgically trained podiatrist involved in limb salvage and wound care for over 30 years. She is board certified in wound care, an ambassador for the American Board of Wound Management (ABWM), and serves as Secretary on the Board of Directors for the Association for the Advancement of Wound Care (AAWC). Dr. Farrer has worked in multiple clinical settings including private practice, VA Hospitals, outpatient wound clinics, homecare venues, and nursing homes. She is the owner of Lagniappe Wound Care Consultants and works at a multi-specialty rural clinic treating high-risk patients. She has spoken nationally and internationally and enjoys sharing her knowledge and experience as a wound care expert. She is a graduate of the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine and currently resides in South Carolina.
